PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Wollongong and Marrickville have been played since our last edition and are reported later. It has been an easier time though with a nice spell of relaxation in between. Beverley Park was on the 7th August and is closely followed Muswellbrook on the 21st and 22nd August. Whilst in Wollongong I had the pleasure of catching up with June Moore (2nd right), who was the country representative on the committee for many years and was the administrator for the Country championships. June caught the train from Wollongong to the office on a weekly basis until an accident unfortunately precluded her further attendance.

Our most prestigious event is our Championships to be held at Asquith on the 22nd September – 1st Division play stroke, Divisions 2,3 and 4 all play stableford. Come along and join us, the more the merrier.

In the last edition the dates for the Country Tournaments for 2024 were listed. Please note that the Tamworth event has had a date change.

  1. Tamworth         23-23 February
  2. Mollymook          1-2 July
  3. Coolangatta         1-2 August
  4. Bathurst              11-12 November

As mentioned in my last report, a motion will be put forward at the AGM on the 24th of November to increase the membership fee to $7.00 due to increased costs. This is not a decision we have come to lightly.
