Introducing our new President

My name is Jacky Parsons and I have the honour of being the new VWGA President. I am a member of North Ryde Golf Club in Sydney where I have been a member for 36 years.  During my time there I have been President, Captain (twice), Vice-Captain, Treasurer and many years on the general committee.  Six years ago I was awarded life membership. Marj Bradd of Shoalhaven is 100

Marj Bradd turned 100 on 14th October 2020 and has been a member of the VWGA for 44 years.  She was originally a member at Bankstown, then Nowra and now Shoalhaven Heads. Marj was still playing competition golf at the age of 98, (her handicap was around 38 to 40 which is pretty impressive for someone of that age, and she at times would win nearest the pin, or longest drive in 3rd division) but due to injury was unable to play most of last year and she had hoped…

Vera Gardner of Kyogle turns 100

2 November, 2020

Vera was born 18 October 1920. She started playing golf in the late 1950’s after her youngest child commenced school. During her golfing career she played in the Kyogle pennants team, attended many an Open Day and actively supported all facets of the club. Vera enjoyed playing mixed golf with her husband Stuart, and also enjoyed caddying in Championships and Pennant finals. Vera and Stuart participated in many Veteran’s Tournaments including New Zealand, Fiji, Perth and Darwin. Owing to her failing eyesight Vera had to forego playing  golf in 2005,…

We have finalised the move to our new office at Suite  501 / 2 Barrack Street Sydney. We are currently in the office only on Wednesday and Thursday as some of our Committee are staying away from public transport.
