PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
In my last report I mentioned the bad weather that we were experiencing in NSW – very heavy torrential rain which brought havoc to many. Some of our Sydney golf courses copped it hard and a few are still out of action. I have spoken to ladies from Windsor Golf Club who informed me that at their course the water covered 15 holes. When the water abated it left silt over everything. This then had to be bulldozed off. A similar tragedy also struck Lynwood Golf Club, among many others. I believe that Lynwood is up and running again but Windsor will still be out of action for months to come. The lucky clubs that were not affected by the floods, but within the district, have allowed the associate members of the stricken clubs to play in their competitions at member rates. Fantastic support and well done!
