April Newsletter

I have been lucky enough to have completed some overseas travel since our last edition. I would like to thank our Vice President, Virginnia Hewitt, for standing in for me.

Unfortunately, Beverley Park had to be cancelled due to a lack of numbers. This may have been due to the early date in the year, 28th February. We have now made another date for this event in August. A new entry form will be sent out to all delegates and be put onto our web site when we have confirmed that date.

Tamworth’s two-day country tournament was a success and reported on by Virginnia. Unfortunately, I missed this one. I was back onboard for Eastlakes but only just. Our next Metropolitan event is at The Coast, 8th April. This closed its books with 108 entries. A very good roll up. Mollymook, which will not be held until 1st/2nd July has already closed with 132 entrants. I have been asked by the ladies who oversee our finances, to ask you to please pay for your events together, when playing in a team or a 2-ball event, not individually.

Lastly, I would like to see if there are any ladies out there who would like to join us on the VWGA committee. We need ladies who are willing to give us one day a week in the office which is in the CBD. Computer skills would be preferable. Could suit someone who has just retired and is looking for something to do. It is a very busy office with lots to do, but we also manage to have lots of fun. Please come and join
us. Good health and good golfing. See you at the next tournament.
